I dream of a world where people truly respect all life on Earth. Not just because such an attitude would automatically lead to a sustainable way of living and a healthy planet, but because it would be a sign of appreciation for the beauty of life itself and the genius behind it. I dream of a world where people take time to smell the flowers, be in awe of the magnificence of the mountains, feel humbled by the power of a thunderstorm, learn from the persistence of flowing river water and look at a tree like a living monument. I dream of a world where people gaze at the evening sky and get captured by this gigantic piece of art, appreciate the grace of a deer like it was a sister, let their hearts be touched by the seedling’s strength to grow towards the sun, find solace in the sound of the breaking waves at the beach, observe the noble strength of brother elk,  learn from its stamina and sensitivity and feel deep gratitude when a life is given for one’s provision.  I dream of a world where people care for the Earth like it cares for us like our Mother, and wonder, what else can I discover tomorrow in this magnificent paradise that will touch my soul and enrich my experience?

I dream of a world where people take time for each other, listen more rather than defend their point of view, are curious to understand one another and learn together.  I dream of a world where people respect each human life, nurture it and allow it to be of value within the community, work together as brothers and sisters to raise intelligent, respectful and caring future generations.  I dream of a world where people appreciate differences as the source of creativity and new discoveries, and be open to each individual’s chosen lifestyle and spirituality without judging it. I dream of a world where people organize themselves in economic units that release their ingenuity and trading skills for the benefit of all life on Earth, where they come together in diversity and live in the present moment.  I dream of a world where people look after each other because they know their lives depend on relationships, a world where people are  grateful for such a supporting and caring extended family called humanity.

I dream of institutions, companies and organizations that work towards realizing such dreams.  Where I see smiling happy people that find joy in the work they do and know it contributes to the well-being of the entire planet. I dream of people with passionate dreams whose concentrated focus and fierce efforts turn those dreams into reality.

When I have such fervent dreams, I realize that once upon a time, someone dreamed of crossing the ocean, building a tower, flying in the air and walking on the moon, so I focus, get to work and start living my dream.
